Where It All Began
Scott started in the building industry at just 16, working with his father as a bricklayer and brick paver. To Scott, it was more than a trade – it was the beginning of a passion that’s shaped the last 30 years of his life.
At 19 Scott put himself through night school with the goal of becoming a registered builder and by 22 he’d launched his own renovation business. Instead of subcontracting and stepping back, Scott took a different path. He worked alongside every trade he hired, learning each craft firsthand and gaining a deep understanding of what it really takes to build a quality home.
That hands-on experience earned him a strong reputation – not just with clients, but within the industry. Larger building companies began bringing him in to help manage their more complex custom homes and multi-unit developments. It was during these years that Scott saw how disconnected many clients felt from the process – and how things could be done differently.
In 2016, he founded Equilibrium Homes with a clear goal: to build homes in a way that feels personal, collaborative and genuinely enjoyable. Homes that reflect the people who live in them, delivered through a process that prioritises honesty, communication and care.
Where It All Began
We’re proud to be part of respected industry associations and to have been recognised for our commitment to quality, leadership and professionalism. Alongside our memberships with the Master Builders Association and Wesbuilders, our builder, Scott Fagan was awarded the Ric New Medal for Excellence in 2013 – a state-level award recognising innovation and achievement in the WA building industry.
